About
Washington, D.C., March 2026
I'm Claire Jiang, and I'm a first-year at Harvard College. I studied juvenile idiopathic arthritis in high school, which is also the disease I was diagnosed with in third grade. My work has allowed me to meet researchers, clinicians, and patients who are asking the same questions I am.
Outside of my scientific interests, I play piano and love exploring new places. I've also spent time in the pediatric ICU at Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital.
I'm planning to concentrate in molecular and cellular biology. In college, I expect to keep working on pediatric rheumatology, because the questions that got me started are still unanswered. But I came to college to find out what else I'm curious about, and I'm open to exploring new interests.
