Claire Jiang
I am a senior in the Academy of Medical Science Technologies at the Bergen County Academies (BCA).As an avid researcher and public speaker, I am very interested in pursuing Global Health related fields. Advocating for underrepresented communities in areas related to health are my future aspirations.
After recognizing the lack of research on Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), I became inspired to pursue cellular biology research at Bergen County Academies on JIA. I enjoy sharing my research with others through poster presentations and information sessions I hold online.
Since my diagnosis, piano has allowed me to maintain autonomy over my joints, as I pursue higher level music at the Manhattan School of Music precollege. I have also been actively involved in Model UN since 6th grade, continuing to compete, lead, and bring to light our world’s most pressing issues throughout my high school experience.
